Weekly Playlist :: 07-12-2021
Hey folks! Another week, another playlist. Now that those of us out there who live in Ontario like myself are getting back to acting like humans instead of heliophobic, hermetic, goblin-like creatures thanks to the province reopening things like patios and restaurants, and allowing for larger personal gatherings, here's hoping you make this week's playlist the soundtrack for your next party.
Some new tunes on this week's playlist: Iron Maiden's got a new single out, Swedish House Mafia are back from retirement with a new single, and then we've got, well...something that sounds like what would happen if The Weeknd wrote a djent record. It's cool, trust me.
Having said that, on the subject of new music, I've decided that going forward, I want to split new music I find off onto a separate set of playlists, and onto a separate section of this site, where I'll be able to go more in-depth on my thoughts with regards to new music I find. Thus, I've launched a "News and Reviews" section for the site. The "What's New" playlists therein will be a monthly roundup of sorts. They'll be posted in the News and Reviews section of the site once a month, on the last day of the month, but individual song/album reviews will pop up whenever I hear or read about them. Meaning that those playlists will grow and change as the month progresses. So be sure, as always, to follow me on Spotify so you don't miss out! Also, MLiM now has an RSS feed! So be sure to subscribe there as well.
In the meantime, enjoy the music on this week's playlist!
